In this era, in which
everybody can easily record and produce images, our society
overflows with images.
We perceive the world unconsciously
as a collective of images. Image recording medium including
photography, film and video consolidates its position strongly
as a "truth
recording" medium.
I am however attempting to subdivide
meaning of images into fundamental elements to explore natural
character of the medium, which is originally just supposed to
be result of physical and chemical action of light and film.
Therfore I intend not to produce images but to show
just process or result of simple physical phenomenon in which
various kind of accidents as spontaneous manipulation of the
medium itself always occur, not of my artistic intention.
Renunciation of artistic egoism and liberation of art work from
commodity fetishism.
